Whether or not Hunters will appear in the Halo TV show remains to be seen, but as the Lekgolo appear in the trailer, it certainly seems likely. As there's already been backlash from fans regarding changes to Cortana, making further needless aesthetic changes would only serve to hurt the show's credibility with fans - and so far, reactions to the live-action Halo TV show have been good. Therefore, the most logical route for the Halo TV show to take would be to use the Lekgolo in the same manner as the source material. Still, showing the distinctly inhuman Lekgolo taking on a massive humanoid shape would be equal parts horrifying and suitably epic for the Halo show, and to use the Lekgolo without allowing them to form a Hunter would certainly feel like a wasted opportunity. The Halo TV show has already made changes to numerous characters' backstories, so it may be that the Lekgolo worms aren't seen forming Hunters in the show.

Hunters' Plasma cannon fire can do some splash damage.Use a Drop Wall for cover when there's not much cover in the combat area. You can often shoot over an edge then back up to let the wall or cliff or ledge take the Plasma damage instead of you! Use ledges and other tall structures in the environment to your advantage. Hunters can jump, but they can't climb.Use them as a distraction to get shots off on the Hunters' backs. Throw down a Drop Wall for them if you can then use the Grappleshot to get away from them. If you're fighting Hunters in the open world, consider loading up a Razorback with Marines and driving them to the fight.Hunters are also weak in the knees! Shoot the unprotected right knee with a scoped weapon for great damage against your big foe.You can use the Grappleshot to quickly get behind Hunters and get that back damage.Shoot for the tube-like orange clusters on their bodies. Hunters' weak spot is on their back and sides.

They'll sometimes get enraged before one is down if they've taken enough damage or sometimes when they've received consecutive headshots. The remaining Hunter will also switch from dodgeable Plasma blasts to a rapid-fire barrage of Plasma shots. There are some lore reasons for this (they're bonded pairs and you just killed their buddy!), but most importantly for you, that means being ready for a charging Hunter after one falls. You can tell they're going berserk when you see their eyes glow and they start charging. Keep in mind too that once you've slain one Hunter the remaining Hunter will go into a rage state. Shock weapons do damage over time, and if the charge is built up enough, the shock can stun your target. When you can't get one of those, your next best bet is Shock weapons like the Disruptor and Shock Rifle.

Bringing a S niper, Skewer, or even a Ravager to a Hunter fight will make it a lot faster of a challenge. Unsurprisingly, the best weapons you can use against Hunters are Power weapons. Before you engage Hunters, evaluate your weapon loadout and consider the space you'll have to fight them in.
